It's good to get help if you're struggling on your own. But discussing creative matters with a large group can become stressful. I found that it's best to determine everybody's qualifications (stuff they think they're good at) first, before every single member of your team wants to decide on every little thing themselves.
If possible, try to divide the work, so everyone does parts, but try to meet up and compare notes on regular, previously agreed upon intervals, so your story stays consistent.
